Day 5

Happy Monday!
Compared to other Mondays I had at work, today seemed to be a slow day for me.

Today, I am grateful for the blessings:
- Freshly-pressed coffee at work, and shared with my colleagues
- No hiccups at work
- Great to see our students after their term break, looking very eager to learn
- Flag ceremony program went well
- I had the time to relax, and watch a movie after work
- Loving the smell of freshly-laundered and perfectly-pressed clothes.

Today's quote:
Never lose the childlike wonder. Show gratitude... Don't complain; just work harder... Never give up.

Day 4

Another weekend has gone by, and it was a relaxing one for me.

Today, I am grateful for the following:
- Time for myself to unwind and get ready for another busy workweek ahead
- Finally finished reading "Insurgent" after holding it off for weeks.
- 3 stories/books finished today!
- A fun talk with Nanay, Mama and Auntie from home
- Pressed coffee to start my day
- A cold bed weather perfect for an afternoon siesta
- Settled some petty misunderstanding with someone
- 3 more days before BFF comes home from the Land Down Under!

So many things to be grateful for. This Sunday, the Lord also reminded me:
Do not covet, Be content!
To avoid covetousness (an act of  wanting something so badly that it consumes you with uncontrolled desire to acquire it to the point that you are willing to compromise your values just to get it as if it is the most important thing for you), we should have contentment in our life. I believe being contented is the start of fulfilling true happiness in life.

Christian contentment is that sweet inward quiet, that gracious frame of spirit which freely submits to
and delights in God’s wise and fatherly disposal in every condition.
– Jeremiah Burroughs

Let us all indeed be always thankful in all circumstances. Have a happy Sunday!

Day 3

Today is a Saturday, and it's my favorite day of the week since I have my usual me-time.
I am grateful for the following:
- Someone said that he likes being with me because of my good vibe
- Finally, a decent cup of brewed coffee after 3 years of having instant coffee at work
- M&S almond biscuits. Yes, I overindulged with this one.
- Finished a J.Patterson suspense novel, "The Quickie". It was a great read
- Busy TV time in the afternoon- that cute loveteam on EB, UAAP CDC, and Pilipinas Gilas FIBA championship game
- Finally picked up "Insurgent" and started reading again (Oh the pressure is building up!)

Overall, I kept a very hectic Saturday today. And another bonus, no centavo was spent today. I just stayed home the whole day, and kept everything at a minimum. It's a happy day indeed - I have my food, books and coffee!

Day 2

Today, I am looking forward to:
- Finishing tasks before the students come back to school next week
- Praying for leadership's receptiveness and open mind on crucial matters on school operations
- A restful weekend at home, despite the rains
- A cup of strong coffee after work

Looking forward to a more positive day changes my perspective on my day as a whole, despite expected setbacks at work.

Quote for today:
“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.”
